Home / Website fixes & frontend QA

The site works. But something looks wrong.

Troubleshooting and frontend testing for existing websites: responsive layouts, visual consistency, working links and interface checks across desktop and mobile. I find the visible problems before your visitors do, then fix the simple ones.

What I checkVisible problems that anyone looking at the page can confirm.

What the service covers

I check and fix

  • Boxes, sections or text that break out of their container.
  • Misaligned elements, uneven spacing, inconsistent typography.
  • Pages that look wrong or scroll sideways on a phone.
  • Obvious typos, missing diacritics, broken formatting.
  • Buttons and links that don't work or lead to pages that don't exist.
  • Text that's hard to read because of low contrast.

Not included

  • Security audits or penetration testing.
  • Server, database or infrastructure configuration.
  • Advanced performance or SEO optimisation.
  • A full redesign. For that, see websites.

DeliveryTwo options, depending on the access you give me.

What you get

Without access to the site
A list of problems with the page, the screen width where each appears, a screenshot and the likely cause. You can hand it to whoever maintains the site.
With access to the code or admin panel
The simple problems fixed directly, then a list of what I changed and what remains.
How the price is set
After I see the problem, the access available and how complex it is. Sites on platforms (WordPress, Wix, Shopify) have their own limits; I'll tell you up front what can be solved.
What I need
The page link, a description of the problem or a screenshot and, if you want it fixed, the access required.

A demo I builtAtelier Verde doesn't exist. The problems were added on purpose, to show what I look for.

Six problems on a single page

Switch between the version with problems and the fixed one, at desktop and phone width. The red circles show where each problem is.

What I found and how I fixed it

  1. Title breaking out of its card. The long title wasn't allowed to wrap onto the next line. Fix: removed white-space: nowrap.
  2. Misaligned buttons. The second button had a different height and an extra top margin. Fix: the same padding, centred alignment.
  3. Hard-to-read text. Light grey on a light background, a contrast of about 2:1. Fix: a darker shade, above 4.5:1.
  4. Typos. “redy”, “sprng”, “Book you visit”, “Reservatons”. Fix: corrected text.
  5. Dead link. “See prices” pointed to prices.html, a page that didn't exist. Fix: a link to the existing prices section.
  6. Sideways scrolling on phones. The offer box had a fixed width of 420 px and the cards stayed in three columns. Fix: a maximum width of 100% and one column on narrow screens.

What you getA report that whoever maintains your site can act on straight away.

What a QA report looks like

Every problem comes with its exact location, its severity and the fix, so you know what to tackle first. The example below is the report for the Atelier Verde demo page.
